Miriam BrentAfter graduating with a 2:1 in Classical Studies from King’s College London I moved to Brighton to complete an NCTJ Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. I then returned to London to take up my first job as a magazine sub-editor on the filmmaking title Digital Video, and have gone on to work in a variety of journalistic fields including writing, editing and copywriting across print and online platforms.

Now freelance, I have been a regular sub-editor on the Guardian and the Observer since 2007, working on numerous desks including News, Business, Media, Technology, Sport and Comment. Other sub-editing clients have included BBC Worldwide, more!, Stuff and CNET.co.uk.

I am also an experienced writer with my work appearing in a diverse range of publications, from men’s magazine Maxim to a weekly column in the Guardian and online film and TV reviews. Corporate work has included projects for Canon, Tommy Hilfiger and Yamaha.
