Miriam Brent is a freelance script developer and journalist based in London. With a track record in writing, editing and copywriting, Miriam has built on this experience to embark on a script development diploma at the NFTS. She is currently on the Script Factory’s panel of readers and has produced reports for La Plante Productions.
As a journalist, Miriam’s work has appeared in a diverse range of publications spanning men’s magazines such as Maxim and T3 to a weekly column in the Guardian and online film and TV reviews. Corporate copywriting projects have been undertaken on behalf of Canon Europe, Tommy Hilfiger and Yamaha.
Miriam has been a regular subeditor on the Guardian and the Observer since 2007, working on desks from Comment and Business to Media and Sport. Other subediting clients have included BBC Worldwide, Broadcast, more! and Stuff.
